Public service was instilled in me at an early age. My father was a fireman, his brothers also had served in WWII before returning home to join the police and fire departments. My paternal grandfather fought for the United States Army in France during WWI.
So, it was only natural that I would begin my legal career serving the People of Westchester County as an Assistant District Attorney. As an Assistant District Attorney, I worked tirelessly to protect those who had been victimized by crime.
Years later, I was fortunate to be elected as a Judge of the Westchester County Court where I have been able to continue my public service. In my courtroom, I strive to give all the people who appear before me the respect and the justice they deserve. The courts are for “The People” and if they feel respected, they often return respect to the rule of law.
My wish is to continue to serve the People of the Ninth Judicial District, and I seek election to the New York State Supreme Court in order that I might realize that wish.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Jean and my daughters Maria, Michele and Andrea. Jean and I have five grandchildren who keep us very active. Additionally, my wife and I volunteer our time to Swim Across America which is a not-for-profit organization raising money for cancer research. This cause is very dear to our hearts and our Long Island Sound Chapter in Westchester County has raised nearly 35 million dollars throughout the years!
I hope to earn your vote this November!
Respectfully,
Judge George Fufidio
